About Lidia Young

Lidia Young, Executive Coach, MSW, LSCSW, has worked with groups and individuals as a teacher, coach, and facilitator for more than 20 years.  Since 1995, she has focused on coaching business leaders, management teams, and entrepreneurs, working with hundreds of individuals through her company, Potentials Development, Inc.

The daughter of Ukrainian immigrants, she was literally born on the way to a new country. A unique childhood gave Lidia a keen sensitivity to culture, especially the transitions and stresses that populate our lives.  As a result of her experiences, she shares her gift for identifying the emotional and social intelligence within all of us.

Lidia is an Executive Coach and licensed Psychotherapist and has taught Professional Development Seminars for Clemson University and the University of Kansas.  She is a past Adjunct Professor with the Pryor Leadership Program at William Jewell College, and a Facilitator for the Adventure Woods experiential ropes course program.

Lidia previously served as the Executive Director of the Gerontological Practitioners Education Program, where she was the recipient of the Theodore Krauss Memorial Award for exceptional contributions to professionals and paraprofessionals working with the aging.  Lidia is the founder of many programs, most recently the 4-day experiential “Activate Your Genius” seminar.  She also created the “Team Acceleration Process” and co-developed “Dialog That Works,” a communications effectiveness training.  Lidia lives and works in the Kansas City area.
